King Thrór was a minor character in The Hobbit film series. He was portrayed by Jeffrey Thomas.

Background[]
Thror had two younger brothers: Fror and Gror. As a lad, Thror's father Dain I and his middle-brother, Fror were killed by a Cold-dragon. Thror and his youngest brother, Gror, separated the rule between brothers. While Thror led his half to Erebor, Gror led his half to inhabit the Iron Hills.
Later Thrór married and had a son he named Thráin, after one of their ancestors of the same name and later three grandchildren: Thorin, Frerin and Dis.
